授業報告　博物館コミュニケーション特論 III　第8回　11月25日

In the 8th meeting, we discussed mainly the design, concept, and the content of the description card of two candidate goods, which are sacoche bag and small plate.
For the sacoche bag, the design was previously narrowed into cartoon-like mammoth, plant specimen, and an image of dinosaur or fossil. However, since a responder from the questionnaire voiced that the candidate designs were mostly life science-related. Therefore, we decided to expand the variation to mathematics and/or engineering-related design. As the result, it was narrowed into cartoon-like mammoth, plant specimen, cycle of Suzuki cross coupling, and all-school design. For the all-school design, we would have item/discovery that represents 12 schools in Hokkaido University, four seasons of Hokkaido, and would use『北大総合博物館のすごい標本 』as the reference as well.
For the small plate, Komiyama-san prepared circular items with varied sizes to see a suitable size of the plate, and we thought 6.5-7 cm was a perfect size. For the design, we stick on the design of four reliefs on Einstein dome in the main hall of the museum, and as previously decided, we were to use only one color due to the demand and cost for production. Therefore, the initial design were touched-up. We were still looking for the information on suitable packaging.
As for the next meeting, we were assigned to get information for the description cards that would come along with the goods. We are also to start preparing for presentation to be presented to the committees of the Hokkaido University Museum.
Truly looking forward for the planned goods to be realized.
