授業報告 博物館コミュニケーション特論 I 第15回 7月 21日
The renewal day of Hokkaido University Museum is just five days left. As we know, the museum has been closed since last year due to earthquake resistance construction. Next July 26th, the museum will be opened as usual with some new faces. Therefore, all museum member now looks so busy to prepare the historical day of Hokkaido University. Including some students in the Museum Communication class, since we will have a first experience in our life as a real museum tour guide. Also, we will make a tour guide for visitors who are coming on the renewal day of Hokkaido University Museum. So, it will be so interesting and unforgettable experience for us.
In the last class, we prepared and discussed about ticket design and questionnaire’s content for the tour guide. We were divided into two groups, one is responsible to our ticket design and another one is to questionnaire that will be distributed to the tour’s participant. Before the class, actually these groups had some meetings to discuss and to make the ticket and the questionnaire. So at that time each group presented their meeting’s result and others were giving comments to it for make it better. For ticket option, we have three designs to be selected. I thought that all of the ticket’s design were great but of course we need to choose one so then moderator was conducting a voting to decide which design will be used for this tour event. And after we finished the long-discussion, we finally agreed to select one of them. The ticket which has phrase of “Guide for You” is selected.
Next, we talked about the content of questionnaire which previously already made by the group that has responsible for this. There are two kinds of questionnaire for this tour but originally both are the same. The difference is only the language (Japanese version and English version). However, many advices were delivered by the member of class including our supervisors. Mostly, they gave some corrections to the questionnaire’s grammatical error. This questionnaire will be given to the tour’s participant after the tour is finished. The museum will also provide some clipboards as a pad when visitors are answering the questionnaire sheet.
In other hand, we did some practices for being a guide tour with our supervisors. That was an amazing experience. Learning how to communicate in a tour and preparing all of the technical things for the museum renewal day such as the costume, the script, the language, the ticket, the questionnaire and other important things. I believe it must be very useful for our future. Last but not least, we did the best for all and I hope it will be also ended as a best moment for all of us.
