【訃報】 モンゴル科学アカデミー古生物センター　ラハスレン副センター長逝去

北大総合博物館と2011年8月に部局間協定を結んだ、モンゴル科学アカデミー古生物セ

ンター副センター長のラハスレン氏が、2011年12月6日に急病のためご逝去されました。

76歳でした。ラハスレン副センター長は、数多くの恐竜発掘に関わり、研究の躍進に大き

く貢献されました。日本を始め、中国、韓国、カナダ、ロシアなどの国際調査を手がけ、

先駆者的な研究者でした。当館の小林快次准教授とは1996年から交流があり、これをきっ

かけに共同研究が始まり、当館との部局間協定へと繋がっていきました。こうして、学

術・人材交流ができるのも、ラハスレン副センター長のご尽力の賜物と、深く感謝しております。

The vice director of the Palaeontological Centre of Mongolian Academy of

Sciences, Mr. Lhasuren, passed away in the morning of December 6, 2011. Mr.

Lhasuren involved in a number of international expeditions, and his

contribution to the dinosaur studies is infinite. Our museum has just

established the Agreement of Cooperation with the Paleontological Center of

Mongolian Academy of Sciences this August, because of his efforts. We express

our deepest condolences to him. We never forget his smile.
