Original description. "Oblongum, subparallelum, subconvexum, nigrum, nitidum; fronte concave, stria integra supra oculos angulata; pronoto stria laterali integra; elytris striis dorsalibus 1-3 integris, 4 et 5 brevissimis; propygidio transversim punctato; pygidio grosse punctato, margine fortius elevato; mesosterno sinuato et marginato. L. 5 mill.
Hab. Java (Raffray).
This species is very near to striale and Robestorfi,
the most conspicuous differential character being the strongly
elevated margin to the pygidium in the present species. The dorsal
striae are three in number, with slight indications of the fourth
and fifth at the extreme apex."
