Platysoma (Platylister) arcuatum Lewis, 1888b: 634.

Platylister arcuatus: Lewis, 1905d: 13.

Distribution. Tenasserim.

Original description. "Oblongo-ovatum, parum convexum, nigro-nitidium; antennis pedibusque brunneis; fronte concava subtilissime punctulata; pronoto marginato stria integra; elytris striis 1-3 integris, 4-5 apicalibus, suturali longiuscula utrinque abbreviata; pygidio marginato grosse et dense punctato; prosterno parum lato haud striato; mesosternum stria transversa arcuatim impresso; tibiis anticis fortiter 4-dentatis. Long. 5.1/2 milll.

This species is less parallel than pluviale Mars., but the convexity of the dorsal region is similar in both species. The thorax agrees with odiosum Mars. in form except that it is less transverse. The elytral striae correspond to those of striale Mars. The ordinary mesosternal stria in Platysoma, which follows the course of the anterior edge is obsolete, but in a posterior position there is a clear and distinct transverse stria, shaped as a bow, and this character will distinguish it from all the species of Platysoma described.

This is another species represented by a single example; it was taken in April 1887 at Thagatà, Tenasserim."
